Food

Breakfasts and Lunches

Every morning, each tent will be given a selection of either French Bread, Croissants, Baguettes. These are both for Breakfast and Lunch. You will also receive a selection of cold meats, cheese, pate, jam. These are made at breakfast time, half for breakfast and the other half to be made up for lunch.

Evening Meals

On the first night in France (Saturday) the camp site are cooking us a meal in their restaurant.

For the six remaining nights, we are planning 5 different menus. We cannot say for certain that these menus will stay exactly as they are written here, because we do not know what products we will be able to buy in the local supermarkets and shops.

On Wednesday Night, after we return from the day out, we will be stopping at a local supermarket. Each tent will be given some money and will have to buy the food and other bits and pieces that they will need to produce their cookery masterpieces.

In the past, we have seen candles, bow ties, hand written menus, 3 course menus that Hell's Kitchen would be amazed with.

But to be honest, we sometimes have had difficulties trying to explain to Scouts that they can't cook frozen Pizza on a barbeque or on an electric hob, or in an electric toaster!
