The caving was excellent; we had to wear these really groovy boiler suits, and these torches on the top of our hard hat. It was REALLY GROOVY!!! As we went through the cave it was really eerie, we went through small passage ways which were only just big enough for us to fit through and some of them you could fit like a car though them! I was in the second group so I had to wait till after lunch to go down into the caves. We were down there for about 2 hours. We came to this really small tunnel that you had to crawl through on your hands and knees. I didn’t do that part because I felt a bit claustrophobic. Only Dale ended up doing that part, and then we made our way out.

Caving was really, really cool. At first I didn't think I would like it but I found it brilliant and I am thinking about doing it again!

Thomas - 1st Ramsden and Downham Scouts
