What is the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award?

The Bronze Award is the first of the three Duke of Edinburgh's Awards. You can start working on the award when you are 14 years old.

Section Service Skills Physical Recreation Explorer
Length of Time 3 months 3 months 3 months Plan, prepare and undertake a 2 day, 1 night expedition
  One of these sections will need to undertaken for 6 months  
Service Requirements

Carry out a Service Project over a three month period.

Skills Requirements

Carry out a Skills Project over a three month period.

Physical Recreation Requirements

Carry out a Physical Recreation Project over a three month period.

Extra Requirements

All Participants must  undertake a further 3 month in either the Service, Skills or Physical Recreation section.

 

Expedition Requirements

Plan, prepare and undertake a 2 day, 1 night, venture.

Once who have completed the Bronze Award, you can then start working on the Silver Award.
