The Bellhouse Cub Scout recently returned from the Essex Cub Scout Mega Camp.
This year it was held at Skreen's Park - near Roxwell. They were not alone! In total 2000 Cubs and their Leaders from all over Essex took part.
The following articles were written by some of our older Cub Scouts:
There was a lot of things to do but I did archery and canuing and they were the best thing to do out of climbing, go karting, and rifles there was a craft area and we could all do some badges like the Navigator badge and the Road safety badge soon and was also had reptiles and we had face painting and there was absailing.
The best thing about Cub Camp was the archtery. I did it three times. The worst thing about Cub Camp was the queues. I had to queue for eighty minutes. I did two badges road safety and Navigator. The weather was cold but it did not rain.
I realy liked the activerties at cub camp apart from the ques that were realy long. I didn't like the ques. But I liked the two badges I did they were the navergater and the road safety badge. The tents were put up very well and sturdy. I had five people in my tent. It was very good weather. I did archery, canoeing and go-carting.
The final article is about Cubs:
Cubs is great. the best parts are the games and the badges are ok, my leader has to shout a lot because the pack is so noisy. There are two games I like the best. thay are Grand Prix and Time Bomb. The worst part are missing the Simpsons but Cubs is better, I am moving onto Scouts and I am going to miss Cubs.
